Sixth win in a row for Catania, this time at home of Castrovillari despite a very bad pitch and a very cold day.
Not a spectacular game but Catania had to win and they won.
First half with no many emotions with Catania controlling the game until Chiarella launched De Luca who scored his third goal in a row in the last three games.
Same story in the second half, Catania controls the game without big emotions, and match secured when Castrovillari remain in 10 men.
In the last minutes Russotto scored the second goal for the final result of 0-2.
With this win, Catania keeps 14 points of advantage from Locri, which managed to win at home scoring at last minute against Licata. Next Sunday Catania play home against Mariglianese (last position), while Locri play in Vibo against Vibonese (6th place).
With 12 games still to be played, Serie C seems closer then ever.
