In Calabria with St. Agata

Second game in a row for the Rossazzurri in Calabria. This time the game is against Castrovillari, a team from a village of 22,000 people in north Calabria.

Castrovillari is currently fifth last in the ladder and in the last five games won only once. They are not having a good moment and for this reason they have just changed the coach hoping to invert the trend.

Catania played in Castrovillari 9 times in his history, losing three times, drawing three times and winning three times. The last time they played in Castrovillari was in 1999 in Serie C. At the end of that year Massimino's family sold the team to the Gaucci's family.

4 months ago, in Catania, the game against Castrovillari terminated 4-0 with goals of Sarao, Sarno and Jefferson (2).

Our President is currently in Catania to see the St. Agata festival (see photo), he will be in Castrovillari too and so far anytime he was at the stadium, Catania won. A win is necessary to keep at the top of the ladder an advantage of 14 points from the follower Locri that tomorrow is playing home against Licata (currently 5th).
