Next game against San Luca

First away game in 2023 for the Rossazzurri who don't win away since October.

The game away is against San Luca, a team from a mountain village of only 3000 people in Calabria, near Reggio.

This is the first time ever that San Luca host Catania. The only game played before was the one in Catania last September (2-1 for Catania). It is such an event for San Luca that they will wear a special shirt for this game. Also, they have obtained to play in Locri bigger stadium in order to allow the Catania supporters to attend the game.

San Luca is currently in third last position, they have lost 3 times and drawn 3 times in the last six games. This is the reason why their coach Francesco Cozza has been sacked just before the game against Catania.

Catania is keen to win this game to consolidate the first position in the ladder, 12 points away from the followers Locri (which is playing away against Trapani) and Lamezia (playing at home against Castrovillari).
