After 45 years, Catania plays again a match against Sorrento (see picture above of last timethey played each other). This time the game is the first pre-final that will determine the National champion of Serie D.
Sorrento, famous town near Napoli, have won their group in Serie D and next year will be in Serie C together with Catania. This is going to be the second time that Catania plays the Finals for the Serie D Championship. The first time it didn't go well as Catania lost the pre-finals against Taranto which at end won the Championship that year.
This time Catania is one of the favourites. After Sorrento, Catania will play a second game against the winner of the game Brindisi-Cavese.
The results obtained on those two games will determine if Catania will play semifinals and final.
