The Elephants in the... Stadium!

It is a first in Catania Football Club's history!

A fan club has never been in Grandstand A (VIP area of the stadium) so imagine if any club before had ever displayed their banner there.

Last Sunday, during the match beetween Catania and Real Aversa, the Elephants Catania Club Melbourne accomplished this heroic quest.

The banner was immediately noticed by journalists, photographers and fans. Many supporters wanted to photograph themselves next to the banner of the furthest Catania club ever.

Furthermore, at the end of the match (won 1-0 with a lot of sofference), the president Ross Pelligra, together with the managers Vince Grella, Mark Bresciano and John Caniglia took a picture with the banner on the splendid setting of the empty Massimino stadium after the match. A real honor for the club's supporters who in the meantime were following the game from Melbourne!

Due to the media clamor and the presence of the news in the newspapers, this was undoubtedly the news of the day. The aroused uproar has generated the passion of fans residing in Catania who will soon join the Elephants who are increasingly imposing themselves on the Catania cheering scene.

Starting from the match at home against Trapani on 21st December, the delegation of Elephant fans will be back showcasing the banner - a banner that reminds everyone how it is possible to love Catania's team even from other continents.
